Who is Diamonds in the Ruff?
Diamonds in the Ruff is a small non-profit organization based in Roseville, Minnesota working to help place homeless canines in loving, appropriately-matched homes. We work to complete our mission one precious life at a time.
We acknowledge that some dogs who come into rescue, for a variety of reasons including becoming lost and never reclaimed, have a few Ruff edges. It is part of our mission to work to rehabilitate these wonderful animals, helping them work towards becoming the gems they truly are.
Our focus is on rehoming dogs that have become homeless in Minnesota and our border states but we are also willing to help canines from around the country. We work only with trusted rescue partners in order to avoid transporting non-native diseases, parasites, etc. into Minnesota.
Additionally, we strive to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets to promote a longer, healthier life for their pet and to avoid contributing to overpopulation.

How does a Diamond in the Ruff become a gem?
Our Diamonds are placed in carefully screened, committed foster homes where they are provided with all necessary vetting, food, water, play, love, and some basic training to smooth those Ruff edges. Once a Diamond is adopted, plenty of love, patience, kindness, good food, water, play, socialization, and training will further refine these sparkling canines.
All Diamond dogs are fully vetted through our partner clinics and will not be adopted out prior to being spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, and microchipped.
